In the ongoing investigation into the Parliament security breach case, three members of the Special Branch of Delhi Police conducted raids and search operations at the rented accommodation of the prime accused, Lalit Jha, located in the Burrabazar area in central Kolkata.
Accompanied by Kolkata Police, the Delhi Police conducted a search at 218 Rabindra Sarani, where Jha had rented a room. The authorities also interviewed other tenants in the building and recorded the entire process. These raids come after West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee expressed concern about the deliberate association of the state with the security breach to divert attention from significant lapses in security.
